Ameyalli Griffiths is a fourth year student at Drexel University currently earning her degree in 3D Animation and VFX, with a minor in Environmental Studies. In addition, she is a proud member of the Liberty Scholars Community. She has experience working at her university’s writing center as a peer reader, editing essays and helping students show their voice through their writing. Although originally from Mexico City, she now lives in Philadelphia with her identical twin sister. Among some of her hobbies, she enjoys gaming, baking, drawing, and crocheting. ‘

Her admiration for animation began since she was very young. Although video games played a large role on this, Disney movies truly sparked the motivation for her to begin creating her own art. Watching these movies with her family in their cosy apartment in Mexico made her feel as though she was far from the making of it, she was still connected to it all, one magical way or another. 

Moreover, as an immigrant to the United States, she is passionate about showing her culture through her work, as well as celebrating her heritage through art.
